Review schedule for production requirements and plan job duties accordingly2. Mill silicone per specification and prep hose for extrusion3. Set up extruder for vertical, horizontal extruded wrap and horizontal manual wrap according to manufacturing specifications4. Cut and send test samples to lab for product quality control5. Measure actual OD of base hose, review maximum/minimum OD for silicone covered hose and review wall thickness requirement6. Record all necessary data for traceability and conformance to specifications7. Provide Hose Coiling with reeled products for inspection8. Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5s practices9. Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines10. Report production issues to Direct Lead11. Perform work of an equal or lower classification DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.2. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.3. Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. 4. Other duties may be assigned at a later time. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:* Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader* Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment WORKING CONDITIONS:The employee may be subject to:1. High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.2. Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels.3. Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)4. Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis5. Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions6.
