Essential Duties/Tasks of Position: -Support development of advanced engine performance condition trend monitoring algorithms -Analyze steady state and transient engine trend data in support of engineering studies -Support QCPC & field investigations related to turbine engine Performance, Operability, Control, and Mechanical subsystems -Perform performance deterioration studies of engines operating in service -Develop and implement scripts, algorithms, machine learning, data clustering and fault classification techniques within a relational database structure to manage, aggregate, and search data in support of advanced diagnostics and prognostics. -Implement and maintain analytic dashboards and Power BI solutions Required Qualifications: -Bachelor"s degree in mathematics, computer science, mechanical, aerospace, or related field. -Proficiency in multiple of the following programming tools: Python, SQL, C++/C#, MATLAB, Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages -Proficiency in exploratory data analysis and data visualization tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Databricks, and AWS Lambda -Comfort in collaborative development using source code control (git) and CI/CD deployments -Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel - Proficiency in communicating in English Beneficial Skills: -Experienced with Amazon AWS and Databricks cloud-based deployments -Experience in turbomachinery performance modeling (i.e., SOAPP, FAST, NPSS, etc.) -Experience supporting turbomachinery testing, data collection, or data reduction -Experience in 6s Statistical Process Control and Six Sigma
