Universal Equipment Operator
Operating Engineers Local 181 Apprenticeship program trains future union members to operate heavy equipment. To complete the program and become a journeyman operator you will complete 6,000 on the job training hours and 432 classroom hours.

equipment operators and mechanics in the construction industry.
The apprenticeship program trains future union members to
operate many types of machines including, but not limited to: bulldozers,
cranes, excavators, forklifts, front-end loaders, and graders. An apprentice
must complete 6000 on-the-job training hours plus 432 related classroom
training hours to graduate from the program and attain journeyman status.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Have a valid Driver's License
Be drug free
Have the necessary physical ability to do the work
