Remote Full Stack Developer

Cal Paso Solar Electric Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Remote Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that support our solar energy operations and customer-facing platforms. You will work across both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring seamless integration, performance optimization, and a high-quality user experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications from concept to deployment
- Build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern frameworks
- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance back-end services and APIs
- Integrate third-party services and tools into company systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and timelines
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the application stack
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability
- Implement security and data protection best practices
- Participate in system architecture design and technical decision-making
- Maintain version control using Git or similar tools
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Solid understanding of back-end programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java
- Experience with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of web security practices and data protection
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Background in energy, utilities, or solar industry (a plus but not required)

- Back-End: Node.js, Express.js, Python (Django/Flask), or Java (Spring Boot)
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Tools: Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jira, VS Code or similar IDEs
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Docker
- APIs: REST, JSON, third-party API integrations
- Security: Authentication, authorization, encryption, secure coding practices
