Job Summary and Qualifications

Paramedic jobs involve responding to emergency calls, providing advanced life support, and ensuring patient stability during transport. Paramedics assess patients, administer treatments, and direct EMTs. They also maintain ambulances, equipment, and ensure compliance with protocols.

Transport and Communication

Compliance and Protocol Adherence  

 

What qualifications you will need: 

Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date 

PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date 

Other-Fingerprint Required 

Current Paramedic license in Florida.  

Ability to perform invasive procedures under pressure 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

Knowledge of human growth and development and appropriate patient care 

Experience with critical care transport (if applicable). 

Associates Degree pref

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery.
