ITSPEC (INFOSEC/NETWORK)
This job opportunity is for an ITSPEC (INFOSEC/NETWORK), position description D2339000, within the 108th Operations Group of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Defensive Cyberspace Operator on a Cyberspace Protection Team (CPT), leveraging a high level of expertise for the preparation and execution of tasked missions.
As an ITSPEC (INFOSEC/NETWORK), GS-2210-11, you will: Identify, analyze threats, and vulnerabilities to the systems Review, analyze, and validate certification and accreditation packages Ensure computer software designs address information system security requirements Protect and maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of information system Manage the Network Security Program Evaluate unusual circumstances to recognize and define potential vulnerabilities and selects and oversee the installation of physical and technical security barriers Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
General Experience: Must have experience with the following: General management principles Basic knowledge of data processing functions Program analyst or other positions that required the use of computer programs Specialized Experience: Must have 36 months of the following Specialized Experience: Techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment Guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment Preparing documentation on cost and benefit studies
