Becoming an Ironworker isn't a job or a career. It's a "LIFESTYLE". Ironwork gets branded on your soul. "We don't go to the gym, We Build it!" Do you want to go sit in an office building or would you rather build it? Do you like working with your hands? Do you enjoy seeing what you do come to life before your very eyes? Do you enjoy working outside? Do you want to be your own Boss? Then you have come to the right place.
We offer a 4-year Apprenticeship Program. Apprentices attend 1 week of School per month from November through April. Our Apprenticeship is affiliated with Cuyahoga Community College. While being enrolled in our apprenticeship program you will accrue college credits. Do you have G.I. money? Why dont you cash in on that while being in our program. During weeks off from school and all throughout the year you will be learning and earning a very competitve wage. Our Apprentice recieve a percentage of Journeyman wage while attending. Our Fringe benifit package includes a pension, annuity, Full health care as well as a seperate Health benefits account. During our 4 year apprenticeship you will become a certified Rigger, certified 3g/4g smaw stick welder and a certified 3g fcaw fluxcore welder as well as many other training and certifications.

Requirements to Enter an Ironworkers Apprenticeship Program:
Minimum age of 18 years.
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent as specified by the local training committee.
Good physical condition - The materials used for ironworking are heavy and bulky so above average physical strength is necessary.
Agility and a good sense of balance are also required.
Drug and alcohol free.
Must meet requirements as set out in applicable citizenship laws.
It is important to mention that an ironworker must be willing to work in high places, have a good sense of balance, and be alert to potential danger to themselves and others. However, the apprenticeship program includes safety training with OSHA Authorized Construction Trainers so that the danger is minimized.
