Industrial Painter Apprentice

Applies/installs protective coatings and linings to steel and concrete on complex structures, such as bridges and towers, ships and waterfront structures, manufacturing and processing facilities, and conventional and nuclear power generation facilities.


From massive bridges to skyscrapers, an industrial painter applies techniques to prepare substrates for coating and lining application.
They will use industry-specific techniques to apply coatings to protect the structures and build a strong and long-lasting foundation. 


Requirements

Complete the application form furnished by the Finishing Trades Institute of New England

After completing the application, submit a hard copy to 25 Colgate Rd, Roslindale, MA 02131 in person

Copy of a valid driver’s license

Be legally permitted to work in the United States of America

Produce a copy of their high school diploma, GED, or Job Corps Completion Certificate

Be physically able to perform the work required of the trade

Attend and successfully complete the apprentice information session

Complete a favorable interview with an assigned DC 35 interviewer

Pass a drug screening
