Join our team as a Food Service Worker at Little Creek Base! We are seeking disabled individuals who are committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in our cafeteria. As a crucial part of our team, you will ensure the cleanliness of our dining areas, serving lines, and bathrooms, contributing to a positive experience for our patrons. This position offers a competitive pay rate and a dynamic work environment with flexible scheduling.
Position Title: Food Service Worker (Disabaled)
Location: Little Creek Base, Open Monday-Sunday (Including Holidays)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20 per hour
Responsibilities:
Scullery:
- Clean dishes, pots, pans, conveyor belt, floors, walls, and vents as needed.
- Disassemble and clean the dish machine daily.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors and take out trash daily.
- Buff floors twice a week.
Dining Room:
- Clean tables, chairs, metal railings, glass doors, and other surfaces as needed.
- Fill napkin dispensers and condiments.
- Ensure drink dispensers are clean during meals.
- Vacuum carpet and sweep/mop floors after each meal.
- Dust all areas daily.
Serving Line:
- Clean food warmers and coolers daily.
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas during serving times.
- Clean steam tables after each meal.
Fruit and Salad Bar:
- Keep all foods stocked.
- Clean fruit and salad bar daily.
Bathrooms:
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms daily.
- Ensure toilet paper and paper towels are always stocked.
Physical Demands:
- Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms.
- Stand, walk, sit, and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Ability to hear whispers with or without the aid of a hearing aid.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, outside weather conditions, and noise.
- Fast-paced environment requiring efficient work.
