Job Summary and Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • You will performs pre-certifications, insurance verifications and is responsible for the data integrity with regard to referral tracking.
  • You will develop efficiencies in prioritizing patients for pre-admission screenings,financial status and helps to coordinate with the Clinical Rehab Specialists.
  • You will coordinate final admission approvals that come through communications with the Medical Director, Clinical Rehab Specialist and Program Director.
  • You will assure that physician signatures have been obtained on the Pre-Admission Screen prior to patient admission.
  • You will arrange and/or assists with arranging patient transportation.

 What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Licensed Clinician preferred (Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist) or Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Rehab and/or hospital admissions experience required
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of acute rehab criteria, level of care requirements and medical necessity
  • Understands Medical terminology, regulations and parameters of third party reimbursements
  • Basic computer knowledge including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
