Background Information
We are a union for Electricians, Linemen, and other classifications related to our trade. We represent nearly 500 members here in our jurisdiction of Alabama, to give us all a better quality of life. Our Orginization as a whole represents over 800,000 members, spanning all the way across our nation and into Canada. Our main purpose is to create better working conditions making us a leading example in the industry when it comes to saftey and benefits.
Why we want to hire veterans
Many of our members are veterans and we have many programs to help them join our ranks. In our experience veterans seem to be among our top tier fo member. Knowing how to work together as a team to get the job done.
What we currently do for veterans at our company
-Help with using your GI Bill, the GI Bill pays you while you're an apprentice learning the trade! Since we are tuition free that money goes in your pocket.
-Job assignements. EARN WHILE YOU LEARN. With the IBEW we get you on a job so you're learning hands on experience while getting paid.
-Continued Education. With the IBEW we offer classes and certifications for after you graduate. Keeping you ahead of the curve in our ever changing field.
